About The Cookie House
Hello, I'm Shaana Dean, the proud owner and baker behind The Cookie House. Balancing the joys of motherhood to my adorable 1-year-old, being a loving wife, and finding solace in the gym, I bring a piece of my heart into every cookie I bake. Baking has been my lifelong passion, but it truly took flight when I started surprising my friends and family with homemade cookies that were made with love and care.

As I shared my delicious creations with those closest to me, I realized that my love for baking and the joy it brought to others was something I wanted to share with everyone. This inspired me to open The Cookie House, where I can spread the magic of cookies, sweets, and baking to all who walk through my doors. Each cookie is a reflection of my dedication to creating treats that not only satisfy cravings but also warm hearts and bring smiles to faces.

Join me on this sweet journey at The Cookie House, where every cookie is a labor of love and a delicious reminder of the joy that baking brings to my life. Together, let's savor the sweetness and warmth that my homemade treats have to offer, as we celebrate the simple pleasures of cookies and the shared love of baking with everyone who steps into The Cookie House.
Why I Started The Cookie House
- Shaana Dean
A little background on why I started The Cookie House... Before diving into the world of baking, I worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist for a staffing company. I was the company's first official employee in that role and played a key part in developing their social and digital marketing strategies. In 2019, I began my journey with this company. Fast forward to 2023, my husband and I were blessed with our now almost 10-month-old baby boy. I took maternity leave to care for our newborn and myself. Upon returning, I was unexpectedly let go from my position at the beginning of January. It was a challenging time as I had dedicated years to a company that didn't support me when I needed it most.
After being let go, I focused on taking care of our baby and home. Job hunting proved to be tough, so I turned to baking as a creative outlet. What started as making food for my son gradually evolved into baking cookies for family and friends. Encouraged by their positive feedback, I decided to turn my passion into a business. I am so grateful that I took this leap as it has allowed me to express my creativity, generate income for my family, and bring joy to people through my cookies.
